Are you ready to discover a site steeped in ancient Mayan legend? At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Merida and travel eastward to one of the most intriguing sanctuaries of the Mayan civilization in the Yucatán.

After about an hour and a half drive, we will reach the Tsukan Sanctuary. Here, the experience begins with a Mayan purification ritual where we will connect with the powerful healing energy of the Pich tree. Feeling refreshed, we will explore the historical Mayan foundations and the remnants of ancient burials present on this sacred ground.

You will have the chance to visit a temple dedicated to a serpent, regarded by the Mayans as the guardian of the caves and cenotes. We will share the fascinating myth surrounding this entity as we stroll through the Mayan village towards a cooking workshop. During this hands-on experience, we will prepare our own tortillas using a traditional hotplate and learn to create a classic ‘recado’ sauce.

Following the workshop, we will head to a stunning cenote where you can unwind and swim in the crystal-clear waters, providing a rejuvenating experience in a truly unique setting. Before our return journey in the minibus, we will enjoy a satisfying lunch at the Tsukan Sanctuary restaurant.

We will conclude this 6-hour adventure by dropping you back at your hotel in Merida.
