Day Trip to Chichén Itzá, Izamal, & the Xcajum Cenote

Join us to explore the richness of Mayan culture and experience a day filled with history, adventure, and stunning vistas as we embark on a day excursion to Chichén Itzá, the Xcajum Cenote, and the enchanting village of Izamal.

Day Trip Overview

We will gather at Hidalgo Park in Merida at the scheduled time to commence our excursion to Chichén Itzá. Get ready to uncover the treasures of the Yucatán!

En route, a journey of about an hour and a half awaits us, where we will provide insights into Mayal civilization to enrich your experience. Upon arrival at the Chichén Itzá archaeological site, you will enjoy a guided tour lasting an hour led by Mayan heritage experts who will narrate the fascinating tales of this iconic site. Following the tour, there will be one additional hour for you to wander and soak in the sights of the ruins at your own pace.

Next, we will proceed to the Xcajum Cenote, an inviting sanctuary where you will likely feel compelled to take a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters. After a few hours of relaxation and enjoyment in this sacred setting, we will savor a buffet-style lunch featuring traditional Yucatecan dishes.

Once rejuvenated, we’ll set off toward Izamal. During our journey, we’ll share the stories of this Magical Village. Upon arrival, we will meander through its picturesque streets adorned with yellow facades, ascended to the Kinich Kak Mo Mayan temple, and visit the San Antonio de Padua Convent.

Finally, we will head back to Merida, wrapping up this 10.5-hour adventure at our initial meeting point.
