Valladolid + Cenotes Day Trip
Description
Are you ready to explore extraordinary natural attractions and a charming colonial town in Yucatan? This day trip takes you to two stunning cenotes and the Pueblo Mágico of Valladolid—an experience you'll cherish!
Overview of the Day Trip
We’ll begin by picking you up at your selected meeting location in Mérida. After a brief stop to grab water and snacks, we'll head towards our first stop.
Following a 2.5-hour ride, we will reach the renowned Suytun cenote, a breathtaking grotto that promises to captivate you. With life jackets provided, you’ll have ample opportunity to swim, discover the enchanting natural lights, and capture stunning photos in this picturesque setting. Additionally, we will witness a Mayan purification ritual, a moment steeped in mystique and cultural heritage!
After spending 1.5 hours at Suytun, we will board the vehicle and continue our journey to the Oxman cenote, situated within the San Lorenzo hacienda. This open cenote offers an inviting swimming experience in its clear waters and the chance to unwind in hammocks.
At the San Lorenzo hacienda, a delectable buffet lunch awaits. You will be served traditional dishes such as tlalpeño soup, chilaquiles, chayitas, chicken mole, poc chuc, cochinita pibil, along with other Yucatecan delights.
Refreshed from the meal, we’ll head to Valladolid, where you’ll spend 2 hours strolling through its historic streets. We'll visit key landmarks including the cathedral, the convent, the calzada de los Frailes, and the Choco Story museum. You'll also have some free time to explore the main square for shopping or capturing photos next to the iconic Valladolid sign.
Once we’ve concluded our visit, we’ll return to Mérida, wrapping up this enriching 12-hour journey filled with culture, nature, and enjoyment.
