August 24, year 79 A.C.: the ground begins to tremble, the sky blackens and Vesuvius unleashes its wrath. Join us on a day trip to Pompeii from Naples to relive the history of Pompeii at its fascinating ruins.
Day Trip to Pompeii
We will depart from the center of Naples and travel by bus to the archaeological site of Pompeii. After approximately 40 minutes, we will arrive at the remains of the ancient Roman city. On August 24, 79 A.C., Vesuvius erupted, devastating Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii. We'll explore the city and see how ash preserved much of it.
The city was buried until the 18th century, rediscovered through excavations sponsored by King Carlos III of Spain. Our tour includes the forum, where Romans gathered, and public buildings such as the baths and lupanar, which features frescoes. In the theater, we will view remnants significant to the culture of that period.
Following a 2-hour tour, we will return to our pickup point in Naples, concluding the activity with a total duration of 3.5 to 4.5 hours.
Pickup Points
This day trip includes pickup at the following points:
- Hotels in the center of Naples: specify your accommodation details.
- Train station in Napoli Centrale: recommended if arriving from other locations in Italy.
- Cruise Terminal in Naples Port: exclusively for cruise passengers.
Important
This tour includes port pickup only for cruise passengers. Hotel or train station pickup is available for those staying in Naples.
English-Speaking Guide
This day trip features an English-speaking guide. However, during the low season (November to March), if the group has fewer than 6 people, the tour may use an audioguide in English.

Important information
Hotel pickup
If you have chosen to be picked up from your accommodation, you'll need to arrange the exact pickup time and meeting point the day before the tour. Please message the local provider by Whatsapp at the following number: +39 0812488315. You can also call them between 7 pm and 8:30 pm the day before the tour.
Please note that, although pickup from the hotels in Naples is included, there are some hotels we won't be able to reach due to traffic restrictions in the city center. In this case, we'll provide you with an alternative meeting point.
Pickup from the port or train station
If you choose pickup from the port or train station, the times and meeting points are as follows:

We recommend arriving 10 minutes in advance.
Important
Please note that pickup service at the port of Naples is only available for cruise ship passengers. If you're staying in the city, we'll pick you up at your hotel or the train station.
