Details of the Day Trip
Your adventure begins at Via Galileo Ferraris, 40, where you will be collected at the specified time. Conveniently located near the Napoli Centrale Station, you will board a bus that takes you to one of the most renowned volcanoes in southern Italy.
After approximately 40 minutes on the road, you will arrive at Vesuvius National Park. The bus will drop you off at the base of the mountain, where the driver will guide you on how to download the audio guide in English onto your device. This guide will reveal the fascinating history of this volcano, which once enveloped the ancient Roman towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum beneath its ashes.
You will then have 1.5 hours of free exploration time on Vesuvius, enriched by the audio guide’s insights. If desired, you can hike to the summit of the volcano, reaching an impressive height of 1281 meters (4202 feet) above sea level. Note that the bus will drop you off at an altitude of 1000 meters (3280 feet), so the trek to the peak involves a 30-minute walk.
From the top of Mount Vesuvius, gaze into the fumaroles rising from the crater below, and take in the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples, a panorama that will leave a lasting impression on your memory.
Finally, reconvene at the drop-off point, and commence your return journey to Naples. After a total duration of 3 hours, you’ll arrive back at the meeting location.

Important information
10 minutes before the designated time, you must make your way to Via Galileo Ferraris, 40. We'll meet you just outside the Hotel Ramada by Wyndham Naples, close to the Napoli Centrale Station.
This voucher will be redeemed for tickets to Mount Vesuvius National Park once inside the bus.
Audio Guide
When you arrive at the Vesuvius National Park, the bus driver will show you a QR code, which you can scan with your phone to download the audio guide in English. We, therefore, recommend bringing a completely charged phone and earphones to listen to the audio guide's commentaries.

- You cannot bring suitcases or other types of luggage on the bus for the day trip.
