Comprehensive Tour of Nazca
Starting with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Nazca at your preferred time, we will head towards the Cantalloc aqueducts. Here, you will walk through the ancient underground channels that once provided water to the inhabitants of the region. After delving into the engineering feat of the Nazca culture, we will proceed to explore the geoglyphs of Cantalloc alongside the historical Paredones ruins, both significant vestiges of this remarkable civilization.
Next, we will visit the Antonini Archaeological Museum, an ideal venue for viewing artifacts unearthed during excavations at the ceremonial center of Cahuachi.
Post-museum visit, you will enjoy an hour of leisure time to have lunch at a nearby restaurant. Once refreshed, we will make our way to the Chauchilla cemetery, famous for its numerous open-air tombs. Here, we will uncover the chilling tales associated with the mummies found in situ, along with an understanding of their burial arrangements.
As we conclude our travels for the day, we will approach the legendary Nazca Lines. We will stop at various viewpoints that provide stunning perspectives of these renowned geoglyphs, allowing you to identify the shapes and unravel their mysteries. Our journey will also include a visit to the Maria Reiche Museum, dedicated to the leading researcher of these iconic Nazca symbols.
After twelve hours of exploration, we will return you to your hotel, having experienced the captivating essence of Nazca.
Optional Flight over the Nazca Lines
For an enriched experience, consider adding a 35-minute flight over the Nazca Lines to your itinerary.
