Private Galle Day Trip

We will collect you from your accommodation in Negombo at 7 am to embark towards Galle, renowned for being one of Sri Lanka's most historic cities.

Your journey will commence at the renowned Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site established by the Portuguese in the 16th century to safeguard one of the Indian Ocean’s pivotal ports during that era.

The adventure proceeds to the southern beaches of Galle, where we will have the opportunity to visit a prominent turtle farm. You will also observe the nearby coves, where local fishermen practice the unique art of stilt fishing, a traditional method that originated in this region of Sri Lanka.

Following an hour of leisure for lunch, we will explore the Tsunami Museum to learn about the devastating tidal wave that struck the Indian Ocean coast in December 2004. This calamity has inspired film adaptations, including The Impossible, directed by Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona.

Our final destinations will include a visit to a delightful herb garden and the Moonstone Mine, famed for its legend of housing stones from the moon.

The day will conclude with our return to your accommodation in Negombo, arriving around 7 pm.
