Activity Details
At the scheduled pickup time, we will rendezvous at your hotel in Negombo to commence our journey into Wilpattu National Park. Are you ready to explore the vastness of Sri Lanka's largest natural sanctuary?
Following a three-and-a-half-hour drive, we will reach Wilpattu and initiate a four-hour safari, where we will seek out a variety of wildlife, all while enjoying stunning panoramic vistas.
Renowned for being one of the top locations worldwide to observe leopards, this park is home to a range of species unique to Sri Lanka. Keep an eye out for sloth bears, elephants, spotted deer, mongooses, and tufted gray langurs, as they can often be spotted in their natural habitat.
As we traverse the park, we will also encounter various reptiles, including the Indian python and the saltwater crocodile. Moreover, this location is a paradise for birdwatchers, with opportunities to view crested serpent eagles, Indian peafowl, and painted storks.
Before making our way back to Negombo, we will pause for a lunch on your own, allowing you to rejuvenate during the journey.
