2 or 3-Day Niagara Falls Tour
Description
Embark on a journey to explore the renowned waterfalls straddling the United States and Canada through our immersive 2 or 3-day Niagara Falls Tour. Witness the stunning beauty of this natural marvel!
Tour Overview
Day 1: Departure from New York to Niagara Falls via Finger Lakes
Commencing from New York, the adventure takes us northward towards Niagara Falls. As we traverse the Finger Lakes region, you'll have the chance to soak in the picturesque landscapes of the Delaware Water Gap and Watkins Glen State Park.
As we navigate by Watkins Glen Canyon and Seneca Lake, we'll arrive at the breathtaking waterfalls in the afternoon.
Upon reaching the American side of Niagara, we'll explore the American Falls, Goat Island, and Luna Island. As night falls, marvel at the enchanting illumination of the cascading waters.
The first night's accommodations will be at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel.
Day 2: Niagara Falls to New York
After breakfast and hotel check-out, our first stop will be the mighty Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls, which is the largest of the trio and boasts the highest flow rate. Get ready for an exhilarating boat ride aboard the Maid of the Mist, where you can experience the intensity of the falls up close.
By noon, we'll depart Niagara Falls and make our way back to New York, taking a pause to visit one of the largest outlet shopping centers, perfect for browsing through a variety of shops for great deals.
We expect to arrive in New York by evening.
3-Day Tour Option
If you can spare additional time, consider the 3-day tour, which includes not only Niagara Falls but also visits to Toronto, the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the scenic Thousand Islands.
This option begins with a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist for an unforgettable vantage point. Upon returning to land, enjoy a picturesque sunset view of the falls under the starry sky. The evening concludes with a return to your hotel located on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
On our second day, after enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will further explore Niagara Falls with a visit to Terrapin Point. This viewpoint offers awe-inspiring perspectives of Horseshoe Falls, the standout among the waterfalls.
Then, we'll venture into Niagara-on-the-Lake, soaking in the area's main attractions before heading to Toronto, the financial hub of Canada, where we’ll partake in a panoramic tour that includes HTO Park, the historic Distillery District, and the expansive Brookfield Place complex.
In the afternoon, we will leave Toronto behind to travel eastward along Lake Ontario to the Thousand Islands area of Gananoque, where we will spend the night.
The final day begins with breakfast, followed by a delightful cruise through the Thousand Islands. As we navigate the St. Lawrence River, first charted by French explorer Jacques Cartier 500 years ago, we’ll glimpse stunning celebrity residences, including Boldt Castle and Heart Island.
Our journey concludes with our return to New York in the late afternoon, wrapping up the immersive 3-day experience.
Please be aware that the 3-day tour option runs from April to October only.

- Gananoque: Comfort Inn & Suites Thousand Islands (2 stars) or similar
Changes to Itinerary
From November to April, instead of Watkins Glen State Park, our visit will include Montour Falls. Please note that during this period, Maid of the Mist cruises will not be available, leading us to explore the Cave of the Winds instead.
Typically, as early April approaches, the river begins to thaw, and cruises resume operations. However, some years may bring colder weather resulting in delayed cruise commencement. Should this occur, the 3-day itinerary will be slightly modified: we’ll return to Niagara Falls for the second night post-Toronto, and on the final day, we will explore the Welland Canal, also allowing free time for shopping before our return to New York.
