4-Day East Coast Tour Overview

Day 1: Departure from New York to Niagara Falls via Finger Lakes

Our journey commences at 6:30 am outside the Port Authority's side entrance, as we set off from New York toward the north, traversing the Finger Lakes region. Along the way, we will take in the breathtaking views of the Delaware Water Gap and Watkins Glen State Park.

Upon reaching Niagara Falls, we will enjoy the scenic vistas of Seneca Lake adorned with vineyards and charming towns. Our exploration will include iconic spots like the American Falls, Goat Island, and Luna Island.

Before checking into the Ramada by Wyndham hotel, we will witness the stunning illuminated waters in the evening.

Day 2: Niagara Falls to New Jersey

Following breakfast, our first stop will be the majestic Horseshoe Falls, also recognized as the Canadian Falls, known for being the most voluminous of the three waterfalls. An exciting boat ride on the Maid of the Mist will allow us to feel the force of the cascading waters.

By noon, we will depart Niagara Falls and continue our trip back to New York, pausing at one of the expansive outlet shopping centers.

In the evening, we will reach our accommodation at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Clifton, New Jersey.

Day 3: New Jersey to Philadelphia and Washington DC

On this day, we will head out from New Jersey towards Pennsylvania's largest city. We will start by exploring the historic district, where we will visit the Liberty Bell, Constitution Square, Congress Hall, and stroll along Elfreth's Alley, America's oldest continuously inhabited street.

Further, we will venture into the city's financial district and along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, discovering additional key landmarks. Before leaving Philadelphia, we will capture a glimpse of the famous Rocky Steps at the Museum of Art, a historical movie site. Our journey will also take us to Lancaster County, one of the oldest Amish settlements.

In the afternoon, we will continue our drive to Washington, arriving in the evening for an overnight stay at Wyndham Garden Hotel.

Day 4: Exploration of Washington DC and Return to New York

The final day kicks off with a visit to the significant Thomas Jefferson Memorial, nestled by the picturesque Tidal Basin and its cherry blossom trees. We will also pay our respects at Arlington National Cemetery, witnessing the Changing of the Guard and visiting the Kennedy family gravesite.

Our exploration will continue at Capitol Hill, including tours of the US Capitol and the White House, where we’ll delve into the workings of the US government. The itinerary also includes visits to the Air and Space Museum and memorials dedicated to Lincoln, Martin Luther King, and those from the Korea and Vietnam conflicts.

The tour concludes with our departure from Washington in the late afternoon, arriving back in New York City by evening.
