Greenwich Village Ghost Tour
Description
Embark on a ghost tour in Greenwich Village, where we will navigate through the most eerie spots of New York City. Unveil the city’s hidden mysteries and the tales of its wandering spirits!
Exploring New York City After Sunset
On the day of our exploration, we will convene at the Washington Square Arch and commence our eerie expedition through the haunted sites of New York City. Prepare yourself as we set out on this ghostly quest!
Our first destination will be Washington Square Park, where we will approach the Hangman's Elm, the oldest tree in the city. What secrets does this ancient tree hide? Our expert guide will reveal intriguing tales as we delve deeper into its history!
Next, we will stroll through Greenwich Village, the renowned artistic hub of New York. Here, we’ll visit a location associated with the Gay Street Phantom. It is said that a shadowy figure haunts one of the edifices along this storied avenue at night. Will we be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of this apparition?
Moving on, we will explore the residence where the legendary author Edgar Allan Poe crafted some of his notable works. Fascinatingly, Poe spent a period in New York before relocating to the countryside with his spouse. We will also learn about Potter's Field and visit various historic locations, alongside discovering the tale of the Ghost Poet of New York City.
As our creepily captivating journey concludes, we will arrive at Mark Twain's former residence. Twain, another connoisseur of the Village, lived here for a period in the early 20th century. Although his original dwelling was demolished, the structure that now stands in its place is said to hold a legend: his spirit may still wander the grounds! With a bit of luck, we might glimpse him appearing as we admire the exterior of this new abode.
Finally, after a riveting 2-hour exploration, we will return to our original meeting point to conclude our haunting adventure.
