Tour Overview

This journey through the northwest region of Brava Island commences with a pickup at your accommodation in Nova Sintra. Prepare to immerse yourself in the essence of the island!

To kick things off, we will embark on a guided walking tour of Nova Sintra. Over the course of one hour, guests will wander through charming cobblestone streets and verdant parks, delving into the life of Eugénio Tavares, the beloved Cape Verdean poet. His poetic influence continues to resonate within traditional music to this day.

Next, we'll hop on a minibus to explore Covadela and Mato Grande, where impressive viewpoints abound, perfect for capturing the stunning coastline on camera. As we make our ascent to Nossa Senhora do Monte, enjoy the refreshing mountain climate while reaching the Levadura viewpoint, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic vistas.

Our adventure proceeds to Fajã d'Água, a charming fishing community celebrated as one of the most picturesque locations in Cape Verde. Here, guests will have the opportunity to explore the natural pools, beautifully carved into the rocks with inviting turquoise waters. Feel free to take a leisurely dip during the one hour of free time we provide.

Following this, we’ll visit a coastal restaurant for a delightful one-hour lunch featuring choices of meat or fish along with rice, fries, and fresh seasonal fruit. Enjoy views of the original Brava airport, which boasted a mere 250-meter (820 feet) runway. Imagine the experience of landing there!

Our last destination will be the Cova do Touro Grog Distillery, where a 45-minute tour will reveal the cultivation of sugarcane. Guests will visit the sugar mill and the distillation area, culminating in a Djarbi grog tasting accompanied by magnificent views of Brava Island.

Eventually, we will return to your hotel, concluding a memorable tour that lasts between 6.5 to 7.5 hours.
