Ticket Options
When making your reservation, you can select the type of train for your trip to Machu Picchu, which will take around 1.5 hours. Both train options feature a cafeteria service onboard for your convenience.

Expedition Train
The Expedition Train will transport you to Aguas Calientes, a key access point to Machu Picchu, while traveling along one of the most breathtaking railway paths globally.
During this experience, you will gaze upon the Andean vistas that will leave you in awe. Enjoy the expansive views from the large windows of the train and take in the captivating scenery along the way.
Vistadome Train
Vistadome Train offers a distinct and enjoyable method of reaching Machu Picchu. The train carriages are equipped with panoramic windows in the walls and ceilings, creating a sensation of immersion in the surrounding nature.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to experience a cultural performance featuring traditional music and dance, highlighting the rich Peruvian art that transforms this journey into more than just transportation.
Mid-Way Stop
For travelers on the 7:04 pm train, there is a mid-way stop at Avenida Imperio de los Inkas, situated in the town of Machu Picchu. Be aware that this station is not the principal stop.
Limited Availability
Trains to Machu Picchu have very limited seats, so we advise booking well in advance. If your selected option is sold out, alternatives may be offered: Voyager instead of Expedition and 360 instead of Vistadome, following similar routes and schedules.
After confirmation, your official tickets will be sent to you 48 hours prior to departure, ensuring your boarding access.

Only some areas are accessible. Accessible toilets. An accompanying person is required. This must be indicated in the reservation.
Important information
After booking, 48 hours before the train departs, we'll send you your official tickets that will allow you to board the trains.
On the day of the activity, you'll need to show your train tickets at the PeruRail or IncaRail ticket offices, depending on the assigned train. Both ticket offices are at the Ollantaytambo Train Station (Ticket Office: Av. Ferrocarril s/n, Ollantaytambo, Valle Sagrado, Cusco, Peru). You can see the exact location at the following link.
