Day Trip to Kekova Island

Our adventure begins at 8 am with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Olympus. We will then board a minibus that transports us to the Demre port. By 10:30 am, we will embark on a boat ready to take us to the Kekova Island.

In about an hour, we will arrive at this captivating sunken city, renowned as one of the Mediterranean's gems. As we glide past the underwater remnants of the ancient settlement, you will uncover the fascinating stories behind these impressive ruins. Following the boat tour, you will have the chance to explore Simena Castle.

After spending a little over an hour on the island, our journey continues to Gokkaya Bay, where you can enjoy a revitalizing swim in the inviting sea. The sparkling waters along the coastline are just waiting for you!

Next, we will navigate further through Turkish waters, arriving at Karemlik Bay, an excellent location to observe the diverse turtle species inhabiting the area. Did you know that Turkey is home to five of the eight largest turtle species globally? Our subsequent destination will be the Pirates Cave, a fantastic site for capturing unforgettable photos!

By 5 pm, we will dock at Demre Harbor and proceed to the intriguing Santa Claus Museum. Here, you can appreciate a rich collection of archaeological artifacts and cultural treasures from the Antalya region, dating back to the 5th and 11th centuries.

To cap off the day, we will visit the ancient city of Myra. This location is a treat for history buffs, featuring an array of tombs carved into the cliffs and an impressive amphitheater.

At the conclusion of this remarkable excursion, we will return to Olympus, with an estimated arrival time of around 8 pm.
