Embark on a memorable journey to discover the medieval allure nestled in one of Spain's most picturesque towns during our Morella Day Trip. Starting from Oropesa del Mar, you'll delve into its rich artistic and cultural legacy.

Day Trip Overview

Our adventure begins at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office, where we will gather at the appointed time to board a minibus bound for Morella, located approximately 71 miles (115 kilometers) from our starting point.

Morella is renowned as one of Spain's most enchanting towns, and it's easy to understand why as we pass through the grand San Miguel Gate into the heart of the old town.

Elegant mansions, stone passageways, and cobbled lanes paint the portrait of Morella, a town steeped in history. As we wander through its ancient center, we will explore its significant medieval heritage, showcased by its 2-kilometre-long (just over a mile) city walls, 10 towers, and 7 gates.

At noon, you will enjoy some free time to savor lunch and experience the local culinary delights. After recharging, we will visit an artisanal honey shop, a delightful stop for those with a penchant for sweet treats!

Next, we'll head to the Morella Basilica, one of the region's most significant religious structures. You will admire the stunning decorations within this iconic building!

Our itinerary also includes a visit to the exterior of Morella Castle, where we will delve into the fortress's historical significance. Following this, you'll have an hour of leisure to either explore the castle, grab a bite to eat, or enjoy some shopping.

As our day comes to a close, we will make our way back to Oropesa del Mar, concluding our enriching 10-hour journey.
