Tour Overview
Our day begins at the designated time at JR Osaka-Jo Koen Station. From this meeting point, a leisurely 10-minute walk will take us to the impressive Osaka Castle. Are you prepared to delve into this iconic testament to Japan’s feudal era?
Once we arrive at Osaka Castle, we'll enter the Osaka Castle Museum, delving into the captivating tales of legendary samurai, fierce conflicts, and the determined shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi. You'll be intrigued by the historical events surrounding the castle since its establishment in the 16th century.
To enhance our visit, we will ascend to the castle's observation deck, where you can soak in the stunning views of the cityscape. Be sure to take some memorable photos!
We’ll then wander through the Nishinomaru Garden, a peaceful retreat once housing samurai, showcasing seasonal cherry blossoms and picturesque views of the castle. This serene environment offers ample opportunities for more photos.
Continuing our exploration, we will stroll through Osaka Castle Park, a vibrant area where locals engage in jogging, martial arts, or simply enjoy the historical backdrop. Along our route, the guide will provide intriguing insights into the castle's significance and its impact on contemporary Osaka.
A visit to Miraiza Osaka will also be included, a location steeped in history as the former base of the Japanese Imperial Army's 4th Division and a previous museum.
We will culminate our tour at the Hokoku Shrine, dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi and his lineage. Here, you'll be able to appreciate the shrine's serene ambiance and capture a few final snapshots.
After a complete journey lasting 3 hours, we will conclude our tour at the Hokoku Shrine. Until we meet again!

Important information
At the indicated time, we'll meet at exit 2 of the JR Osaka-jo Koen Station, located at 3 Ōsakajō, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 540-0002, Japan. Please be there at least 10 minutes beforehand.
You'll recognise the guide by them wearing a TripGuru shirt or holding a TripGuru sign.
Dress Code
Please note that visitors are required to dress modestly and respectfully when visiting the shrine. Please avoid wearing tight, revealing or short clothing, such as shorts and tank tops.
Admission Not Included
Please remember that admission to the Osaka Castle Museum is not included and has an additional cost of 1200JPY per person. It's free for children under 15.
