Kyoto Day Trip
Description
Historical temples, peaceful Zen gardens, castles of the shoguns, and the impressive bullet train. Embark on an exploratory journey from Osaka to discover Kyoto's most renowned sites in a tour that fuses the rapid transit of the Shinkansen with an insightful guided experience in Spanish.
Trip Highlights
At dawn, you will board the bullet train to Kyoto from Osaka. Following a brief ride on this celebrated high-speed train, you will arrive in the historic city that once served as Japan's imperial capital. Your adventure begins right outside the Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande, where your guide will meet you to commence the bus tour.
The itinerary opens with a visit to the distinguished Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Starting early allows for a serene walk through its pathways, free from the usual crowds that fill the area later in the day.
Next, we will proceed to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), a Zen temple that dazzles with its reflection shimmering in the pond, ensuring a memorable experience. Following this, we'll visit Nij? Castle, the former residence of the shoguns, where you can explore its traditional tatami rooms, beautiful gardens, and the intriguing "nightingale floors" that produce melodic sounds as you walk.
Your journey will continue to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, celebrated for its vast wooden terrace that hovers over the mountains, providing breathtaking views of the city below. Upon concluding this visit, you will have some free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure and taste the local delicacies available in the area.
Finally, we will visit the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine, renowned for its countless red torii gates that decorate the hillside. Your guide will accompany you to this concluding destination, offering vital details for your return trip to Kyoto Station using local transportation, from where you will take the bullet train back to Osaka.
The tour is set to finish after approximately 12.5 hours.
