Experience the essence of two renowned Magic Towns of Mexico as we embark on a day excursion to Huasca de Ocampo and Mineral del Monte. This journey also includes an engaging pottery workshop!

Excursion to Huasca de Ocampo & Mineral del Monte

At the scheduled time, our journey will commence with a pick-up from your accommodation in Pachuca, setting forth to explore some of the most celebrated locations in Hidalgo, Mexico.

Our first stop will be the municipality of Huasca de Ocampo, an acclaimed Pueblo Mágico recognized for its traditional artisanship in pottery. Upon arrival, you'll visit a craftsman’s workshop, where you will witness the artistry involved in shaping clay. Later, you'll have the opportunity to create your own pottery piece... using your feet!

Next, we will journey to the stunning Basaltic Prisms, an extraordinary natural phenomenon featuring hexagonal formations reminiscent of the famous Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. Following this, we will make a stop at the Casa del Rompope, where you can sample rompope, a delightful drink akin to eggnog prepared from eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Onward, we will travel to another Pueblo Mágico, namely Mineral del Monte, renowned for its rich mining heritage. Here, we will delve into the history surrounding the Count of Regla and the influx of English settlers during the 19th century, who ventured into the mining sector. As we navigate through the town, the impact of British traditions and their legacy will become evident.

After some leisure time for lunch at your discretion, we will continue to the Pasty Museum, where you can learn about this traditional dish with roots in England. Shortly thereafter, we'll visit the English Pantheon to pay homage at the grave of Richard Bell, a renowned clown and circus innovator.

Our day will conclude as we return to Pachuca, bringing you back to your hotel approximately nine hours after our departure.
