Lower Antelope Canyon Hike
Description
Are you ready to explore one of the most iconic natural features in the Arizona desert? This trail through the Lower Antelope Canyon invites you to experience the stunning beauty of this remarkable gorge.
Tour Overview
Join us at the designated meeting point at Indian Route 222 Page to embark on a captivating hiking journey through this noteworthy natural wonder.
Our walk will begin with a short 10-minute stretch leading us to the entrance of Lower Antelope Canyon, recognized as the narrowest segment of this intriguing geological site situated in Navajo territory.
As we navigate between towering sandstone cliffs, we will share insights on the forces that shaped this landscape over millions of years. The combination of wind, water, and the unique characteristics of the rocks plays a pivotal role in this transformation.
The hiking trail spans 1.1 miles (1.5 km), allowing us to admire the stunning curves and formations of the canyon, with stone walls that soar up to 130 feet (40 m) high. The Lower Antelope Canyon is particularly bright, offering ample opportunities for spectacular photographs!
