Lower Antelope Canyon Hike
Description
Are you ready to explore one of the most iconic natural sites in the Arizona desert? Join us on an unforgettable hiking adventure through the stunning Lower Antelope Canyon, where we'll traverse the lower section of this remarkable gorge.
Tour Details
We will gather at Indian Route 222 Page at the scheduled time to embark on a hiking trail that leads us into the lower segment of this breathtaking landscape.
After a brief 10-minute walk, we will arrive at the entrance of the Lower Antelope Canyon, known for being the narrowest part of this intriguing geological site situated within Navajo territory.
As we meander between the towering sandstone walls, you'll learn about the geological processes that have shaped this breathtaking area over millions of years. The fascinating story involves the collaboration of wind, water, and the unique characteristics of the rock formations.
Our hiking route will extend for 1.1 miles (1.5 km), offering views of the canyon's whimsical curves and vertical sandstone walls that soar to an impressive 130 feet (40 m). The abundant light in the lower canyon makes it an ideal spot for capturing memorable photographs!
After approximately an hour of hiking, we will return to our starting location, wrapping up the tour in about 1.5 hours.
