3-Day Expedition to Bananal Island & Cantao Park

Day 1

Your journey will commence with a convenient pickup from your hotel at Palmas airport. Following that, we’ll embark on a three and a half hour drive towards Lagoa da Confusão, where you will enjoy a delightful lunch while we explain the upcoming photo safari.

As we delve into the local wildlife, prepare to capture stunning photographs. Along the way, we will explore three distinct Brazilian biomes: the lush Amazon rainforest, the Ipucas forests, and the unique Cerrado, known for its tropical savannah landscape.

Post our exploration, we will travel an hour to the Javaés River, seeking further wildlife sightings. Upon arrival, you'll catch your first glimpse of Bananal, recognized as the largest river island globally.

As the day winds down, we’ll return to Lagoa da Confusão for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we’re off to experience a delightful excursion on the waters of Lagoa da Confusão, where a refreshing swim awaits! This will be followed by a two and a half hour journey to the town of Caseara, situated in the heart of Cantão Park.

Upon our arrival, a delicious meal will be served, leading us to a sunset boat ride along the scenic Araguaia River, where you’ll admire the exquisite beaches and islands, including the breathtaking Bananal Island.

We will then return to Caseara for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 3

Rising early, we’ll enjoy breakfast before heading to Cantão Park for a chance to witness the enchanting sunrise.

The next part of our journey will involve either walking or boating, depending on seasonal conditions, with a visit to the park's headquarters to learn more about this vital ecosystem.

After our enriching experience, we will return to the lodge for a satisfying lunch. With memories of an incredible day, we’ll then drive back to Palmas, expecting to arrive at your hotel or the airport around 5:30 pm.

5-Day Adventure

Choosing this extended option allows for two additional days filled with exploration. On the fourth day, we’ll cruise across Lagoa da Confusão and participate in a photographic safari to spot the area’s most exotic wildlife.

On the fifth day, our focus will shift to Bananal Island, where we’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Javaés River.

We will ensure you return to your hotel or the airport by approximately 5:30 pm.
