Bayano Caves & Kayak Tour
Description
Discover the enchanting caves of Lake Bayano and embark on an exciting journey through one of Panama's most stunning locations. Paddle through an underground river while observing the local fauna!
Bayano Caves & Kayak Tour
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel at the designated time, followed by a drive towards Lake Bayano. This reservoir was established in 1976 with the construction of a dam intended to generate hydroelectric energy for Panama City.
After approximately an hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at the Bayano Lake Bridge, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding natural scenery. We will continue on to an islet within the reservoir, where preparations will begin for our exploration of the Bayano Caves.
As we enter the caves, you will be mesmerized by the unique rock formations and the rich wildlife residing within. Be attentive to the bats, reptiles, and spiders that call this place home!
Following our cave exploration, we will return to the island for a short rejuvenation break and a delightful lunch. Energized, we will then proceed to our next adventure: kayaking! After changing into suitable gear, we will set off on our kayaks down the Tigre River. Along the way, revel in the magnificent scenery and observe the various birds and animals that thrive along the riverbanks.
Concluding our 2-hour kayaking expedition on the Tigre River, we will return to the islet before boarding the bus for our journey back to Panama City. You can expect to arrive back at your hotel around 8 hours after we first set off.
