Tour to Colón from Panama City

We will depart from Panama City. During the journey, the guide will introduce the rich history of Colón, from its peak as "La Tacita de Oro" to its current state. Upon arrival in Colón, we will stop at Restaurante 2 Mares, known for its fresh ceviche, offering a perfect introduction to Caribbean flavors. Next, we will embark on a car tour with stops for photos and brief walks in the city's historic center. The guide will lead us through a circuit that includes: - **Parque 5 de Noviembre and Catedral de Colón:** The heart of the city, showcasing daily life and the architecture of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. - **Edificio de la Gobernación:** An imposing building reflecting the city's administrative significance. - **La Maison Blanche:** We will admire this historical and elegant building, one of the tallest and most luxurious of its time, built in 1913. - **La "Cajita de Fósforo":** We will visit the famous Gimnasio Everardo Núñez, known for its role as a boxing champions' cradle and a symbol of Colón's resilience. Afterward, we will take a break to enjoy an authentic Panamanian "raspado" (shaved ice with syrup and condensed milk), ideal for the Caribbean heat. Our tour will conclude at the Colón 2000 port and commercial complex, where visitors will have free time to: - Walk along the pier and observe arriving cruise ships (if any). - Visit duty-free shops. - Enjoy a coffee or drink with views of the Panama Canal entrance in the Atlantic. - Sample food at one of the restaurants. Finally, we will start the return journey to Panama City, estimated to arrive between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM, enriched by the sights, flavors, and unique energy of Colón.
