Activity Overview

At the designated departure time, we will set sail from the Perico Island pier on a memorable excursion through the Panama Canal, where we will explore its key locks and navigate across Gatún Lake. Prepare to witness one of the most remarkable locations in Central America.

The journey commences as we glide along the southern shoreline of Panama City towards the Bridge of the Americas—the doorway into the Panama Canal. Throughout this remarkable adventure, we will discover the fascinating history behind this extraordinary feat of engineering. Onboard, you will enjoy live music and vibrant folkloric dance performances that will enliven your experience.

Our first stop will be the Miraflores Locks, a pivotal point where vessels are either elevated or lowered based on their route to the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. Curious about how this intricate system operates? You will gain insights during our visit!

We will then proceed to the Pedro Miguel Locks along with a transit through the Culebra Cut, an expansive engineered valley connecting Gatún Lake with the waters of the Gulf of Panama. As we navigate through this area, indulge in a delightful buffet lunch complemented by unlimited coffee and soft drinks.

The final segment of our journey unfolds on Gatún Lake. While onboard, feast your eyes on the scenic Chagres River and the verdant expanse of the Gamboa rainforest, which hosts a diverse array of wildlife, including monkeys, turtles, caimans, exotic birds, and fish.

As we conclude our 5-hour adventure, we will return to our initial departure point.
