Description

Your entry to the Hôtel de la Marine offers the chance to explore an 18th-century palace, situated in the central Place de la Concorde in Paris, which once served as the headquarters for the French Navy.

Ticket Information

The Hôtel de la Marine, prominently located in Place de la Concorde, stands as one of the remarkable palatial structures from the 18th century in the heart of Paris.

This ticket grants you access to both the permanent exhibition (previously recognized as the quartermasters’ apartments) and the “Expressexhibit (comprising the historic salons and loggia). Utilizing an English audio guide, you will begin your journey through the quartermasters' quarters, adorned with chandeliers, luxurious drapes, and carpets reminiscent of the Louis XV era.

The beautiful lounges and the loggia await, their stunning decor sure to leave a lasting impression. As you proceed with the audio guide, you will uncover the historical significance of the Hôtel de la Marine, which was initially intended to house the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne. Post the 1789 French Revolution, it transformed into the central offices of the French Navy.

Following the relocation of the French Ministry of the Navy in 2015, the Hôtel underwent significant renovations and opened its doors to the public in 2021. This ticket enables you to appreciate the revitalization of this exquisite palace, crafted by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, an esteemed architect during the reign of Louis XV of France.

The audio-guided exploration of the Hôtel de la Marine typically lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
