Tour Overview
We will gather at your selected starting point at the scheduled time to embark on this captivating exploration of Wave Rock and York. Prepare to encounter rock formations that will astound you. Let’s set off!
Our route will take us towards Hyden, home to one of Australia's most striking natural landmarks. As we navigate through the hills surrounding Perth, we will enter the region’s agricultural heartland.
Prior to our visit to Wave Rock, we will make a stop in York, recognized as the oldest town in the Avon Valley. Here, we will meander through the streets while uncovering the town's history tied to the gold rush and livestock farming. The area boasts a variety of unique buildings that are sure to capture your interest!
The tour will proceed along the Wheatbelt Way, passing through the farming communities of Corrigin and Kondinin, which provide a glimpse into the spirit of the Australian outback. Additionally, from our vehicle, we will catch a glimpse of the Dog Cemetery, a tribute to our canine companions.
Feeling peckish? We'll take a break for a scrumptious picnic lunch at the Wildflower Shoppe in Hyden. Once we’ve refueled, we’ll continue on to our next destination.
Upon reaching Wave Rock, you will be captivated by the stunning view of these magnificent stone waves. Did you know this place holds sacred significance for the Aboriginal community? Its history will surely enchant you!
Before our return to Perth, we'll visit Mulka Cave, a perfect conclusion to the tour. Inside, you will discover ancient cave paintings that narrate an Aboriginal tale!
We will conclude our excursion back at the meeting point, having enjoyed approximately 12.5 hours of exploration.
