At the scheduled time, we will gather at your selected starting point to embark on this captivating journey to Wave Rock and York. Are you prepared to witness breathtaking rock formations? Let’s begin!
Our route will take us towards Hyden, home to one of Australia’s most astonishing geographical wonders. We will traverse the scenic hills surrounding Perth as we venture into the agricultural heart of the region.
Prior to arriving at Wave Rock, we'll visit York, the oldest town in the Avon Valley. As we meander through its streets, we'll uncover its rich history, deeply intertwined with the gold rush and pastoral activities. The town features distinctive architecture that is sure to intrigue visitors!
The adventure will then continue along the Wheatbelt Way. We will journey through the farming communities of Corrigin and Kondinin, perfect for experiencing the true essence of the Australian outback. From our vehicle, we will also glimpse the Dog Cemetery, a tribute to our loyal companions.
Feeling peckish? A stop for a satisfying lunch awaits at Wildflower Shoppe Café in Hyden, where we will recharge before heading to our next highlight.
Upon arrival at Wave Rock, prepare to be astounded by these remarkable stone waves. Did you know this site is of great significance to the Aboriginal community? Its rich history will surely captivate you!
As we conclude our adventure, we'll make a stop at Mulka Cave, a perfect finale to the tour. Inside, discover ancient cave paintings that narrate an Aboriginal legend!
Ultimately, we will return to the meeting point after approximately 12.5 hours of exploration.
