Teide Cable Car + Hike to the Summit
Description
Embark on an unforgettable experience with a ticket for the Teide cable car and a hike to Spain's highest peak. Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in southern Tenerife.
Teide Cable Car + Summit Hike
Are you prepared to ascend to the tallest point in Spain? Our journey starts early in the day from your hotel or designated meeting spot as we travel toward Teide National Park. This is your chance to immerse yourself in Tenerife's stunningly unique volcanic terrain!
Upon reaching the cable car base station, we'll disembark from the bus and ascend towards Tenerife's peak. We will rise approximately 1000 meters (3280 feet), reaching an elevation of 3555 meters (11670 feet) above sea level. Our 10-minute cable car ride will bring us to an exciting initial destination, yet the most thrilling part of our adventure is still ahead!
Equipped with the necessary permit included in this excursion, we will now commence the hike to the Teide volcano summit. Though the trek is strenuous, the rewards will be evident as we conquer the top of the crater after just 40 minutes of uphill walking.
As we ascend, you'll notice the distinct scent of sulfur, a sign of volcanic activity. On clear days, the vistas will allow us to gaze at neighboring islands like Gran Canaria, La Gomera, El Hierro, and even La Palma. Don't forget to bring your camera for some stunning shots!
Eventually, we will retrace our steps back to the cable car for our descent, concluding the adventure with a return to the bus. The entire excursion will last approximately 6 hours, wrapping up our memorable day.

We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you since you won't be able to buy food or drinks at the top of Mount Teide.
Also, although temperatures in Tenerife are always very pleasant, it's possible that at the top of the Teide you may feel cold. That is why it's also advisable to bring some warm clothes.
If on the day of the day trip, due to reasons beyond the local tour company's control, adverse weather conditions or breakdowns in the cable car facilities, the path to the peak is closed or the cable car is not operational, an alternative route will be made. If this happens, you'll be informed on the day of the tour and the cable car ticket will be refunded to you.
Since this activity includes the crater access permit, we do not permit changes or cancellations once the reservation is confirmed.
