Day 1: Furnas & Tea Plantations (8 Hours)

We will convene at the designated spot on João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada, where a minibus will whisk us away to the quaint town of Vila Franca do Campo. After exploring its charming lanes and taking in views of the volcanic islet off the shore, we will board the minibus to continue our adventure towards Furnas.

In Furnas, you will find volcanic calderas, fumaroles, and an enchanting lagoon. As we navigate the area, we will discuss the geological wonders that define the island. A highlight of the day will be savoring the traditional dish cozido à portuguesa, a culinary specialty from São Miguel. Additionally, there will be an option to stroll through the botanical gardens at your leisure.

Our day's journey will conclude at the Gorreana tea plantations, where we'll have the opportunity to explore the estate and sample one of their renowned teas, allowing you to fully appreciate its unique scents and flavors. The day's activities will wrap up around 4:30 pm.

Day 2: Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo (8 Hours)

Your second day begins with a pick-up at the meeting point as we venture to the heart of São Miguel Island, where we'll visit the breathtaking Lagoa do Fogo. We will delve into the history of this volcanic lake and explore the surrounding area, rich in diverse flora and fauna that will captivate you.

The remainder of the day will be dedicated to observing the spectacular viewpoints around Lagoa das Sete Cidades, the region's most iconic natural feature. We will cross its bridge while sharing intriguing insights about this remarkable landscape.

Before we return to your accommodation, a delightful lunch at a traditional restaurant awaits. To cap off the excursion, we will transport you back to the starting point by approximately 4:30 pm.
