Details of the Day Trip

At the designated hour, we will gather at the departure point in Ponta Delgada to kick off this excursion to Rabo de Peixe. In just over 30 minutes, we will reach this northern coastal town, celebrated for its fishing heritage and vibrant local culture.

Initially, we will visit Feira de Santana, an engaging and colorful market in Rabo de Peixe, where local farmers, artisans, and beekeepers proudly showcase their goods. Here, you will have the chance to witness the sale of fruits, honey, cheeses, and other regional specialties!

Next, we’ll proceed to the charming harbor of Rabo de Peixe, steeped in maritime traditions. We’ll meander through the town's historic district and take in the beauty of the main church, a testament to the tradition and faith of the local community.

To conclude our adventure on a delightful note, we will visit the Chocolatinho Factory, a quaint establishment where chocolates are crafted using flavors unique to São Miguel. You will be invited to taste a selection of their handmade confections.

Ultimately, we will make our way back to Ponta Delgada, concluding our journey at the original meeting point after a total of 4 hours.
