Your journey begins with a pickup from your selected hotel in Port of Spain, setting the stage for an exciting kayaking expedition through the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Our first stop will be the predominant swamp area, boasting the widest mangrove coverage on the island, where your enthusiasm will surely grow.

After a refreshing 15-kilometer ride (9.3 miles), we will reach our launching site, where our kayaks await us amidst the untouched scenery. Once equipped, we will launch into the picturesque lagoons of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary.

As we glide over the water, you will have the opportunity to take in the stunning natural vistas surrounding us. The gentle embrace of the mangroves and verdant forest foliage creates an atmosphere filled with the enchanting sounds of wildlife.

During this kayaking expedition in Caroni, a variety of bird species will be visible, along with small reptiles, anteaters, owls, and the astonishingly beautiful scarlet ibis!

For the return leg of our journey, we will switch to a small boat that will traverse the canals, guiding us back to our original departure point.
