At the arranged time, our team will collect you from your hotel in Porto Seguro for a brief 20-minute drive to the first destination: the Reserva da Jaqueira, featuring a vibrant Pataxó village. This marks the beginning of your cultural journey.

For approximately 3 hours, immerse yourself in the daily life of this community, where traditions thrive. You will be greeted with traditional songs and dances, including the Awê ritual, a significant ancestral celebration reinforcing unity, remembrance, and a connection to the environment.

Discover the meaning of symbolic body painting and the profound respect the Pataxó hold for their seniors. Engaging conversations with the locals will reveal their enduring history of resistance, having navigated the challenges presented by Portuguese colonizers since the 16th century. The preservation of their language, Patxohã, continues in local schools, alongside the sharing of traditional knowledge regarding medicinal plants and hunting methods.

As the day concludes, we will regroup and make our way back to Porto Seguro, dropping you off at your hotel after a delightful experience spanning about 8 hours.
