Established in 1893 by António Nicolau d'Almeida, Futebol Clube do Porto has carved out a significant legacy in European football. Inaugurated in November 2003 for the 2004 European Championship, the Dragão Stadium replaced the historic Estádio das Antas. The stadium, crafted by architect Manuel Salgado, accommodates over 50,000 fans and serves as a contemporary landmark in Porto, inspired by the dragon that represents both the club and the city.
