Gastronomic Tour of Porto

On the day of our adventure, gathering will take place at the Monument to Almeida Garrett, conveniently located in front of Porto City Hall. From this central hub, we will embark on our gastronomic adventure. Are you ready to sample delicious tapas, explore local markets, and discover renowned wines? Let’s get started!

Once all guests are assembled, we will wander through the picturesque streets of Porto en route to a traditional tasco. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in Portuguese culinary traditions, enjoying a variety of petiscos, such as the renowned Bifana à Moda do Porto, a savory pork sandwich marinated in wine, garlic, and spices, along with bolinhos de bacalhau.

Following our first culinary experience, we will make our way to the Mercado do Bolhão, a true haven for food enthusiasts. Exploring the vibrant stalls brimming with flowers, cheeses, cured meats, and fresh fruits will be a highlight, as we discuss the significance of quality ingredients in traditional recipes. To enhance this experience, we'll stop at a stall to taste a selection of local preserves served on toast. You’ll surely savor every bite!

With a delightful array of flavors, we’ll continue to the nearby town of Vila Nova de Gaia. Crossing the Douro River via the Dom Luís I Bridge, we will arrive at a distinguished Port winery, where you’ll learn about the intricate process behind this beloved local wine.

To culminate our experience, we will partake in a tasting of three wines, raising our glasses together as we uncover what makes this wine truly exceptional on a global scale.

After approximately 3.5 hours, we will bid farewell outside the Vila Nova de Gaia winery, wrapping up our culinary tour.
