Our adventure will begin as we trace the echoes of unsolved mysteries and criminal histories. Have you heard the tale of the ghost haunting São Bento? This iconic train station, renowned not only for its stunning architecture, holds more stories than meet the eye.
We will then proceed to Rua das Flores, home to the infamous poisoner whose crimes colored the street’s history. At the historic Olival ghetto, we will discuss the challenging era marked by the persecution of Jewish communities and uncover a synagogue that remained concealed for generations.
Our next point of interest will be the former prison, where intriguing legends are intertwined with its past. As darkness begins to fall, we’ll make our way to the old hospital of Santo Antonio, ultimately reaching the Palace of the Sirens, strategically located near the Cemetery of the Hebrews and the Jewish Quarter. On the day of the activity, the guide will be waiting with a green umbrella at the indicated time at Calçada de Vandoma, next to the "primitive wall" of Oporto. We recommend arriving 15 minutes in advance.
The tour includes long flights of stairs, so please take this into account when bringing baby strollers.
