Tour Overview
On the scheduled day of your tour, we will convene at Rua do Corpo da Guarda, No. 18, conveniently located near the renowned São Bento Station. Get ready to set off on an exciting adventure exploring Porto via tuk-tuk. It promises to be a delightful and enjoyable way to experience the sights along the Douro River!
This excursion will take us through the historic streets of Porto and encircling its ancient fortifications. We’ll kick off our exploration with a look at the impressive façade of São Bento Station, then proceed to Porto Cathedral. This cathedral stands out as an exemplary piece of Portuguese Romanesque architecture, featuring a sturdy design, thick stone walls, and an overall appearance akin to a fortress. Perfect time for capturing a memorable photo!
Our tuk-tuk journey will then take us along Avenida dos Aliados, a major urban avenue flanked by prestigious buildings showcasing a mix of architectural styles popular from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. In this vicinity, we will inspect the areas around the Carmo and Carmelite churches, two neighboring places of worship notable for their Rococo Baroque style, often adorned with large ceramic tile panels that embellish the side facades.
Continuing our tour, we will arrive at the Clérigos Tower, a symbol of the city, followed by a visit to Livraria Lello, celebrated as one of the most stunning bookshops globally.
Our adventure will then lead us on a tuk-tuk ride through Rua das Taipas towards Miragaia and Ribeira, offering splendid vistas of the Douro River. This route showcases an enticing blend of medieval and contemporary narrow alleys, characterized by buildings on slim lots, balconies crafted from metal, and architectural styles that respond to the local topography.
Concluding this memorable tour, we will return to our initial meeting point, wrapping up this delightful tuk-tuk experience 50 minutes after we began.

On the day of the activity, please go to the Tourist Office located across from the São Bento train station (red building) at the following address: Rua do Corpo da Guarda, 18. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early.
