Day Trip to Socerb, Hrastovlje & Marezige

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Portoroz at 9 am, followed by a drive of about 30 kilometers eastward to Socerb. After a brief forty-five-minute journey, you will arrive at this quaint Slovenian village, ready to unearth some hidden gems.

The excursion through Socerb begins at its historic castle, a stunning fortress perched at the town's highest point. While taking in breathtaking vistas of the Gulf of Trieste, you will delve into the historical significance of the location. Next, we will visit the Holy Cave, Slovenia's only underground sanctuary.

Afterward, we will reboard the bus and head to Hrastovlje to explore the Church of the Holy Trinity. This 13th-century church is encircled by an impressive wall and houses the renowned Dance Macabre fresco within its walls.

The final stop will be Marezige, where you can immerse yourself in Slovenia’s olive and wine culture. Here, a local farm awaits to offer you a delightful olive oil tasting paired with traditional regional snacks. A true culinary experience!

Your tour will conclude back in Portorož around 5 pm.
