Description
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Salto Encantado and Moconá waterfalls during this captivating day trip. Discover the remarkable features of these two provincial parks located in Misiones and witness their stunning waterfalls.
Day Trip to Salto Encantado & Moconá
At the designated time, a pickup will be arranged from your hotel in Posadas as we head towards the Salto Encantado Provincial Park.
Commencing our exploration of this magnificent natural area, renowned as one of the jewels of the Misiones province, we will gaze upon the iconic waterfall that lends its name to the park. Experience the majestic flow of water plunging from a height of 210 feet (64 meters), along with smaller adjacent waterfalls such as La Olla, Picaflor, Escondido, and Acutí.
Following our adventure at Salto Encantado, we will proceed to the Moconá Provincial Park, a name derived from the Guaraní language meaning "the one that swallows everything." This area boasts a truly distinct geological fault.
Over this fault, situated on the bed of the Uruguay River, a remarkable series of waterfalls plunges down from a height of 82 feet (25 meters) into a chasm reaching depths of 377 feet (115 meters). A boat ride through the Moconá Falls allows us to appreciate this natural spectacle from the water.
While exploring the Moconá Provincial Park, we'll also make a stop at the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, where the river with the same name converges with the Pepirí Guazú, Uruguay, Serapio, and Calixto Rivers.
Our journey concludes with a visit to the Yabotí restaurant. Here, you can enjoy a traditional lunch at your own cost, featuring a choice of meat, vegetables, or pasta, paired with a dessert.
After our meal, we will return you to your hotel in Posadas, with an estimated drop-off time around 7 pm.
