Prague Castle Guided Tour
Description
Get to know one of Prague's unmissable sights, where you can find St. Vitus' Cathedral, the Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica and the famous Golden Lane.
Guided tour of the Prague Castle
At the specified time, we will meet at Hrad?anské nám?stí 2 (in front of the Schwarzenberg palace) to avoid the morning rush and take a short ride up to the castle. Thanks to our skip-the-line entry, we will immediately start exploring one of the most important complexes in the city!
A trip to Prague would be incomplete without visiting the castle. This tour takes you around the world’s largest ancient castle complex, starting with St. Vitus Cathedral. This remarkable example of Gothic architecture houses the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors.
Next, we will visit the old Royal Palace, where you will learn about the "defenestrations," which were key events that sparked the Thirty Years War across Europe.
After viewing St. George’s Basilica, one of the few surviving Romanesque churches in Prague, the tour proceeds to Golden Lane, historically home to alchemists, goldsmiths, and other artisans. Notably, it also houses the residence of the famous Prague writer, Franz Kafka.
Finally, after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, we will conclude our tour of this essential Prague landmark.
