Description
Discover the gem of West Bohemia on this day excursion to Karlovy Vary, a renowned spa town celebrated worldwide for its numerous thermal baths. This experience is essential for anyone visiting Prague!
Details of the Day Trip
Our journey begins at the designated time, departing from the heart of Prague and heading northwest towards Karlovy Vary, where we will arrive approximately 2 hours later.
Upon arrival, our first stop will be the Spa I, where we will explore the histories of some of the most famous physicians from the region. Following along the riverbank of the Teplá, we will pass by the former headquarters of the Knights of Malta, Mozart's residence, and the initial colonnade that shelters the thermal springs.
As part of the guided exploration of Karlovy Vary, we will visit the Geyser Colonnade, the Market Colonnade, the stunning Neo-Renaissance Mill Colonnade, the exquisite Neo-Baroque Park Colonnade, and the impressive Liberty Colonnade to sample the mineral waters from the various springs, while our guide immerses us in the rich history of the city with significant anecdotes.
From the bus, we will also view key buildings of the city, including the Military Spa Institute (established in 1855), Thermal Baths I (opened in 1895), Thermal Baths III (built in 1867), Thermal Baths V (constructed in 1906), the Parkhotel Richmond, and the City Market.
After the guided tour, you'll have some leisure time to enjoy a meal, shop, capture stunning photographs, or spend your time as you wish. The choice is yours! We will wrap up this 9-hour tour by returning to the center of Prague.
