Travel through time with the circular route of the Prague sightseeing tram, which features a total of 26 stops as it winds its way on Line 42. This route showcases a rich history spanning from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the 1970s.
As you ride in this charming vintage tram, you will have the opportunity to view iconic landmarks, including the magnificent Prague Castle and the renowned Charles Bridge, which gracefully crosses the Vltava River. You are welcome to board the tram at any designated stop along the route.

How Does It Work?
Your ticket is valid for 24 hours after its initial use, allowing you to hop on and off as often as you like. For instance, if you board the tram on a Tuesday at 1 PM, your ticket will remain active until Wednesday at 1 PM.
During your booking, you will need to indicate the date you plan to use the ticket. On the day of your ride, simply present your ticket to the on-board crew on tram 42.
Schedule & Frequency
The sightseeing tram operates daily between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM, with the first tram departing from the Dlaba?ov stop. Please be aware that a 30-minute break is scheduled at the end of the circuit.

From March 21 to July 17, 2026, trams will operate every 30 minutes. During this timeframe, the tram will make stops at Nám?stí Republiky at the following times: 9:52 AM, 10:22 AM, 10:52 AM, 11:22 AM, 11:52 AM, 12:22 PM, 12:52 PM, 1:22 PM, 1:52 PM, 2:22 PM, 2:52 PM, 3:22 PM, 3:52 PM, 4:22 PM, 4:52 PM, and 5:22 PM.
From November 29, 2025, until January 4, 2026, the service will shift from a 40-minute interval to 30 minutes. At this time, the tram will stop at Nám?stí Republiky at 9:48 AM, 10:18 AM, 10:48 AM, 11:18 AM, 11:48 AM, 12:18 PM, 12:48 PM, 1:18 PM, 1:48 PM, 2:18 PM, 2:48 PM, 3:18 PM, 3:48 PM, 4:18 PM, 4:48 PM, 5:18 PM, and 5:48 PM.
Note: It is advisable to plan your ride on the sightseeing tram during the afternoon in peak season, as mornings are typically busier.
