Our journey begins in Assomada, a lively city known for its vibrant market atmosphere. We'll head to a viewpoint where you'll be treated to stunning vistas of the city nestled in a lush valley. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, we will also explore the vegetable market, recognized as one of the most bustling markets in Cape Verde, showcasing its authentic character!

Next, we will proceed to the natural park of Serra Malagueta, rising to an impressive height of over 2,624 feet (800 meters). Here, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, you'll come to appreciate one of the key green spaces of the archipelago. We'll take a moment to enjoy the fresh air, stroll through the unique flora, and capture photos of this idyllic environment.

Following this, our destination will be Tarrafal, a coastal haven where you will have 1.5 hours of leisure time to explore the sandy beaches and observe the local fishermen as they depart and return with the day's catch from the Atlantic Ocean. You may also choose to enjoy lunch at one of the recommended local eateries.

Afterward, we'll journey along the eastern coastal route, recognized as one of Santiago's most picturesque drives. As we travel, we'll pass through fishing villages that seem to have preserved their charm through the ages, adorned with colorful homes, traditional vessels, and children at play, revealing the island's intimate lifestyle.

Before concluding our tour, we'll make a stop at a banana and coconut plantation in Pedra Badejo. You'll have the opportunity to engage with local farmers and vendors, and you can sample freshly prepared coconut water while gaining insights into the region's agricultural practices.
