When reserving your spot, you will have three distinct options to choose from. All meetings will take place at the Wounaan Puerto Lara Hospice. Below are the details of each choice:
10-Hour Experience
Upon arriving at the Wounaan indigenous community, you will be warmly welcomed as community members showcase their vibrant traditional dance. This engaging start sets the tone for an enlightening day! Throughout our visit, we will delve into the cultural, social, and economic practices of this Panamanian community.
Midway through the morning, you'll savor a delightful traditional lunch that reflects the culinary practices of the Wounaan. Following our meal, we will embark on a hiking adventure through the Darién jungle, where we will explore the captivating array of flora and fauna unique to this region. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of wildlife!
Next, you will engage in community activities, including crafting, providing insights into their daily routines and how they gather food and water.
After a fulfilling 10 hours spent with the Wounaan community, we'll conclude our experience with heartfelt farewells.
1-Day Experience
If you prefer a longer engagement with the indigenous community, consider the option that offers overnight accommodation in a traditional cabin.
This choice also includes additional activities at the camp, such as immersing yourself in the community's traditional dance.
2-Day Experience
This package offers a unique opportunity to enjoy 2 nights of cabin accommodation inside the Wounaan camp. To enhance your experience, daily activities will include fishing excursions and guided hikes through the forest, allowing you to fully appreciate the area's natural beauty. This option promises the most immersive experience!

Important information
On the day of the activity we'll meet at the Wounaan Puerto Lara Hospice, located 10 minutes from the main Panama City highway - Darién, directly between Santa Fé and Metetí, You'll have to use your own vehicle to get to the meeting point. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand.
