Activity Details

At the scheduled time, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Puerto Madryn for a journey to the Valdés Peninsula, which has earned the designation of a World Heritage Site.

Following a scenic one-hour drive, we will arrive at Puerto Pirámides, where you'll have the opportunity to embark on a whale-watching boat ride. Here, you can witness these magnificent beings up close as they migrate close to shore in search of crustaceans.

Next, our journey takes us to the Estancia San Lorenzo, renowned for its thriving Magellanic penguin colony. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, we'll explore a 1.5-kilometer (9.3-mile) trail through the penguin habitat, gaining insights into their behaviors, diet, and unique traits. Once the hike concludes, you’ll have an hour to savor lunch at the ranch.

Post-lunch, our expedition resumes as we drive through the Punta Norte area of Valdés Peninsula. Depending on the season, this area can be a vantage point for observing fur seals, southern elephant seals, and, on rare occasions, orcas.

After exploring Punta Norte, we will visit the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, allowing for an in-depth understanding of Valdés Peninsula's diverse fauna and flora. We will then make our way back to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, wrapping up this enriching 10-hour excursion.
