Tour Overview

We’ll begin with a pickup from your accommodation at the scheduled time, embarking on a journey northeast for approximately 45 minutes, leading us to the historic ruins of Sillustani.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Umayo, standing at an impressive altitude of 13,123 feet (4,000 meters), you will behold the remarkable chullpas. These towering tombs are constructed above ground, exhibiting a fascinating architectural style where their diameters at the top exceed those at the base, seemingly challenging gravity!

As you traverse the grounds of the Sillustani site, you will uncover the mysteries of the ancient Colla civilization and their burial customs. Additionally, you will have the chance to gaze upon the sacred Lake Umayo, revered by local cultures.

Following our exploration of the Sillustani site, we will return to your hotel in Puno, completing the experience in approximately three and a half hours.
