Embark on the renowned 'Route of the Sun' connecting Puno and Cusco, discovering captivating sites in southern Peru such as Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, and Pukara - an experience to remember!

It is often said that experiencing the Route of the Sun is a must at least once in your lifetime. Those who journey along this path are often enchanted by the rich history, stunning landscapes, and flavors of Andean cuisine. To experience this for yourself, we will meet at the scheduled time on Avenida Costanera at the corner of Jr. Lampa and depart towards Pukara.

What insights can we gain from the ancient Andean civilization? Our adventure begins at the Pukara interpretation center, home to the renowned Pukara bulls, colorful clay figures symbolizing protection, prosperity, and fertility throughout southern Peru.

Following our visit to Pukara, we will proceed to La Raya pass, where we will pause to capture stunning photographs of this remarkable mountain pass situated at over 4300 meters above sea level.

After taking our pictures at La Raya, we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant, re-energizing ourselves for the afternoon. Next, we will visit the acclaimed archaeological site of Raqchi, where the remnants of the ancient temple dedicated to the god Wiracocha await us, steeped in a rich tapestry of legends and mysteries from pre-Hispanic eras.

Upon concluding our tour of the archaeological park of Raqchi, we will head to the village of Andahuaylillas to explore the church of San Pedro Apóstol, often dubbed the "Sistine Chapel of America". You may find this claim hard to believe until you witness the breathtaking interior of this extraordinary church!

Our journey along the Route of the Sun will culminate in Cusco, where we will arrive at approximately 5 pm, back at our initial meeting location.
