Excursion to Salinas & Aguada Blanca National Reserve

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Puno and set off towards the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a remarkable and distinctive region found in the Arequipa and Moquegua areas.

Our adventure begins as we venture inland, making our first pause at Lagunillas Lagoon. Here, you can take in the stunning scenery and observe various bird species that inhabit this natural habitat. Over 25 different species of birds can be spotted in this location!

Following this leisurely stop, we will progress to Pampa Cañahuas, where a variety of rock formations await, alongside the chance to see vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas roaming freely. You’ll have 25 minutes to soak in the unique atmosphere of this part of the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve.

Our next destination will be the Patapampa volcano viewpoint. From this vantage point, you'll marvel at towering rock formations that exceed 13,123 ft (4,000 meters) in height!

In conclusion, we will journey to Chivay, where you will be dropped off at the main square approximately six hours after our departure.
