Tour Overview

After picking you up from your accommodation at the agreed time, we will proceed to the port of Puno. Once there, we will embark on a speedboat for an exhilarating ride on Lake Titicaca, recognized as the highest navigable lake in the world, situated at an altitude of 12,500 feet (3,810 meters).

Our first destination on this Lake Titicaca tour will be the renowned floating Uros Islands. Once we disembark, you will have the opportunity to visit one of these fascinating islands and meet the Uru people who reside there. The islanders will share insights into their ancestral pre-Inca heritage, one of the most ancient cultures in the Andean Altiplano, as we marvel at their remarkable artificial island structure. Did you know these islands are crafted from a unique plant known as Totora?

Continuing our journey, we will sail towards Taquile Island, the largest island on Lake Titicaca, while taking in breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Upon arrival at Taquile, we will explore the local culture and witness the intricate weaving techniques used by the island’s residents to produce their renowned textiles.

Subsequently, we will enjoy a chance to refuel with a delightful traditional lunch (optional), before we say goodbye to the islands of Lake Titicaca.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel in Puno, having experienced a total of 8 enriching hours.

This tour includes pickup from centrally located hotels in Puno. If you are staying outside this area, you will need to reach the meeting point at Jiron Arequipa Street, which is conveniently located near the Plaza de Armas, at the scheduled start time.
