For those who have just arrived in Punta del Este and are eager to take in its top sights, this tour is designed for you! We will gather at a specified location at the agreed time to commence this complimentary walking tour, where you will uncover the rich history and distinctive allure of this Uruguayan town.
The experience begins with a visit to La Mano, a sculpture that serves as an unmistakable emblem of Punta del Este, as we proceed towards the Paseo de las Américas. Following a stroll past the Museo La Vista and the Plaza de los 100 Años, we will enter the bustling core of the peninsula, delving into the renowned Calle Gorlero and the Plaza de los Artesanos.
Next, we'll pass by the historical former Hotel Risso on our way to the Punta del Este Lighthouse and the Church of Our Lady of Candelaria. This church stands out with its unique blue exterior and houses a bronze figure rescued from an ancient shipwreck off these coasts.
As we approach the latter part of our journey, we’ll move by the Estación Meteorológica and the Plaza de los Ingleses (or Plazoleta Gran Bretaña), situated at Punta Salinas, where the Río de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Additionally, we will visit the Esquina de los Cuatro Mares, a spot shrouded in local lore that is sure to fascinate you.
We will wrap up our 2.5-hour walking tour at the port area of Punta del Este. In this location, alongside the upscale yachts, it is common to observe sea lions relaxing on the pier.

Important information
At the designated time, we'll meet at Stop 1 (Playa Brava) in front of La Mano, specifically at Rambla General Jose Artigas, 20100 Punta del Este, Departamento de Maldonado, Uruguay. Please be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes beforehand. You'll recognize the guide by the blue umbrella they will be carrying.
We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and bringing water, warm clothing in winter, and in summer, sunscreen and a hat.
