Discover the Llama Trek in Purmamarca

The adventure will commence in front of the Purmamarca Church at 3 pm, where our group will gather. Our journey will be enriched by the presence of a classic Andean llama caravan.

Throughout this extraordinary outing, we will take on the role of caravan drivers, exploring the historical routes that the ancestors of the town's residents once traveled, transporting salt from the nearby salt flats to the valleys in exchange for corn. We will uncover the significance of these two staples.

We will traverse gentle trails with our llamas, pausing periodically to explore the natural environment and immerse ourselves in the local traditions. Along our path, we'll come across a vibrant range of colorful hills—let’s unravel the reasons behind their vivid hues!

As we walk through this picturesque region, we will delve into the various endemic plants that flourish here. Key species include molles, churquis, pencas, and airampos, all of which boast remarkable medicinal and nutritional attributes.
