Multi-Day Tour in the Ecuadorian Amazon
Day 1
Setting off from Quito as scheduled, our initial destination is Tena. A short pause will provide the opportunity to explore the Malecón and check in to your lodge with your luggage. Subsequently, we will travel to Baeza for a delightful breakfast before making our way to Cotundo Canyon. Prepare for a hike through the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon!
Within Cotundo Canyon, you’ll observe a presentation on the medicinal uses of local mud and have some time to take a refreshing swim. After enjoying a local lunch (at your own expense), we will proceed to uncover the mysteries of the Jumandy Caves, venturing into their depths.
We will then head back to our lodge in Tena, where you'll have the option for dinner at your own expense, followed by a night of rest in preparation for the exciting day ahead.
Day 2
The day begins with breakfast at the lodge prior to our journey to Puerto Misahuallí, located just 30 minutes from Tena. Our first stop will be at the capuchin monkey beach, where you can enjoy a close encounter with these charming animals.
Next, we’ll embark on a boat excursion along the Napo River, keeping an eye out for caimans, anacondas, brightly colored parrots, macaws, and toucans. Our expedition will then lead us to the Shiripuno community, where we will delve into their traditions, experiences, music, ancestral dances, rituals, and artisanal crafts.
After a lunch break at your own expense, we will return to the meeting point in Quito.
