Baeza & Puerto Misahualli Tour
Description
This Baeza & Puerto Misahuallí Tour invites you to immerse yourself in the rich tradition, history, and nature of Ecuador. Explore two distinct locations that showcase both the pristine Amazon rainforest and the enchanting colonial architecture of local towns.
Baeza & Puerto Misahuallí Tour
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Quito hotel between 4:15 and 5 am, followed by a scenic drive to Baeza. This 2-hour journey takes you through the stunning Cayambe Coca National Park and past the picturesque Papallacta Lagoon, revealing breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival, enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on a guided exploration of this historical colonial city, notable for being the first settlement established by the Spanish in the Amazon region.
Next, we will travel to Puerto Misahuallí, which is situated 2 hours from Baeza. Once there, you'll board a canoe for an exciting ride on the Napo River, leading you to the Shiripuno community. Here, you will discover intriguing aspects of Kichwa culture by experiencing their customs, visiting the sacred stone, sampling typical products, and witnessing a captivating dance performance!
After this cultural immersion, you’ll have time to savor lunch before we head back to Puerto Misahuallí, where you can unwind at Los Monos beach. Feel free to take a refreshing swim if you wish!
Your tour concludes with a short jungle trek to see the magnificent Ceibo Milenario, an ancient tree that towers over 60 meters high.
We will begin our return trip at 4 pm, with an estimated arrival back at your hotel in Quito around 8 pm.
